How do I enable desktop notifications for new queue entries?

The Desktop Notifications feature provides a visual notification that alerts you when someone has joined the queue.

If you’re multitasking, the application will use desktop notifications to alert you when someone has joined the queue. When you receive an alert, while you’re outside of CEC, click on the notification to return back to CEC.

Instructions

  • This feature option is located under User Preferences in the Settings panel.

  • Browser should be the latest version of IE 11 (all modern browsers supports desktop notifications such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

  • Notification's permissions should be granted (Employee can enable and disable it from settings)

  • Below is an example of a desktop notification for a new queue entry.
