What are the requirements for my password?

We have the following requirements set up for your passwords.  If you would like to force your merchant account passwords to be more secure, we are able to make changes to the list below.  Please file a ticket with QLess Support if you would like changes to be put in place.

• Dictionary Words Allowed
  • Whether dictionary words are allowed as part of the password
  • Default is true
• May Contain Userid
  • Whether the account's UserId is allowed as part of the password
  • Default is true
• May Contain Full Name
  • Whether the account's full name is allowed as part of the password
  • Default is true
• Expiration Days
  • Number of days before password expires and must be reset
  • Default is never expire
• Minimum Complexity Score
  
  • Minimum complexity of the password
  • Default is no complexity is required
  • Complexity is calculated like this:
    • 1 point if the password contains one or more lowercase letter.
    • 1 point if the password contains one or more uppercase letter.
    • 1 point if the password contains one or more digit.
    • 1 point if the password contains one or more special character.  A special character is defined as anything not in the above 3 rules.
• Minimum Length
  • Minimum length of password
  • Default is no minimum
• Minimum Different Passwords
  • The current password must be different than the last X recent passwords
  • Default is no difference is required
