QLess Interfaces for Consumers

There are several ways that consumers access or view QLess: QLess Kiosks (Home Kiosk via the web and on-site), QLess Monitor, SMS/texting, QLess Voice, and our consumer apps.

Another way to group the ways of getting access to QLess from the consumer facing interfaces is by observing their involvement with the virtual line or queue in which you are waiting. You can join the line via the kiosks, text messaging, phone calls, or the apps. You can check your progress in the virtual line with the QLess Monitor.

NOTE: Not every QLess customer takes advantage of every QLess feature, so, you may or may not have anyone of the following features in your QLess System.

Kiosks

Kiosk accounts are basically a series of screens used to gather information such as phone number, name, and service needed from your consumer.  There are two types of kiosk accounts.

On-Site Kiosk

A physical kiosk can take many forms (freestanding, wall-mounted, or counter-mounted), but in all cases it is a kiosk that you have to physically go to, such as in a lobby or front of the business itself.

QLess offers several styles of physical kiosk but works on many types of hardware.

Home Kiosk

A Home Kiosk is merely the ability to go to your computer, laptop, tablet, or phone and supply the information you need to get in a line (queue) virtually by accessing a website dedicated to your account.

After giving the phone number at which you would like to receive updates, answer a few other questions and you will be given a place in the virtual line.  Phone numbers are required via home kiosk so that QLess can send updates of when the consumer should report to the location.

SMS/Texting

After texting to a specific phone number and typing a keyword, alias, or trigger-message, QLess will respond with a menu of choices. Pick the choice (or queue) you prefer and possibly answer other questions.

You will be texted back with your position in the line, and/or your expected wait times. Periodic updates will follow.

Consumer Apps

Downloadable from the Google Play store or iTunes; the QLess App allows you to contact various businesses that are already equipped with QLess Queue Management Systems. From there, like the kiosks, you can answer a few questions and get your place in line.

Monitor

Looming just above eye-level in many lobbies and waiting rooms are QLess Monitors. Like this one, they may display the people in various queues (lines), in sequence, with some identifier (last four digits of phone, first name and last initial, or both, and the estimated duration of the wait until each will be served (if you wish to display that information).
